Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Foozu account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to do that and what happens after your request.

How to delete your account

Recommended Delete from inside the app

The fastest path — the deletion runs server-side as soon as you confirm.

Open the Foozu app and go to Profile.
Tap Settings, then Delete account.
Confirm with your phone-verification code.

Alternative Email request

If you can no longer sign in, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it manually within 30 days.

Send to: privacy@foozu.win

Include in the email:

The phone number associated with your Foozu account
The first and last name on the account
A short confirmation that you want the account deleted

Email a deletion request

What gets deleted

When your deletion request is processed, the following are permanently removed from our active systems:

Your profile (name, email, phone, profile picture, date of birth, interests)
Your reward / credit balance and transaction history
Your raffle entries and quiz history
Your referral relationships
Your push-notification tokens
Identifiers we shared with Meta (Facebook) for advertising attribution — we send a deletion signal so they remove their copy as well

What we may retain

We retain a minimal subset of records only for the following legitimate purposes:

Fraud prevention: hashed device fingerprints linked to confirmed abuse (no PII), so the same device cannot re-register and re-abuse the system.
Tax / legal: records of monetary prize fulfilment, where required by Egyptian law.
Aggregate analytics: de-identified usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you.

Timeline

In-app deletion: processed immediately. Profile and personal data are removed from the active database within minutes.

Email request: we confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

Third-party copies: we forward a deletion signal to Meta, Google AdMob, PostHog, Sentry, and Supabase. Their independent retention windows still apply (typically 30 – 180 days).
